Elle Crighton has worked in the health care industry for over 30 years. Starting her career in rural Victoria, Elle simply loves helping others and the connection to community that her role affords her.

I am so proud to do what I do and offer women, children and the greater community a service that works for them.

Starting Elle Care in 2024, Elle is now able to offer her services Australia wide through Telehealth appointments.

Qualifications

Elle Crighton graduated with a Nursing Degree from Monash University in 1995, completing her graduate year at Warragul West Gippsland Hospital.

Elle spent some time working in aged care, completing a Graduate Diploma in 1999. She completed her Midwifery qualifications in 2000, followed by a Masters of Midwifery in 2002. Later in 2010, Elle completed her Child Health qualification. Working in a rural setting, Elle wanted to be able to offer a wide range of services to her patients.

In her career, Elle has worked for the Royal Flying Doctors in Cairns as a Child Health Nurse and Midwife. In the Northern Territory, Elle was the Women’s Health Team Leader for Aboriginal Health Service, where she received the AMA Women’s Health Award in 2017.

Elle became a Nurse Practitioner in 2017 after exposure to an NP while working at Morning island.

What does Elle hope to achieve with Elle Care?

Being a Midwife and Nurse Practitioner fits well together – Elle can focus on mother and baby, contraception, midwife support, and much more.

Elle’s unique set of skills allows Elle Care to provide an extended scope of services and offer a full set of skills for patients.

Women’s health, diabetes, child health and primary health care have always been Elle’s focus, as well as having a good relationship with her patients GPs.
